Big Dog Exteriors
Big Dog Exteriors was created because exterior construction deserves more than rushed installs and poor communication. Too many projects suffer when people stop caring. We wanted to build a company that does things the right way, with effort, honesty, and real pride in the work.
Our purpose is simple. Build strong exteriors. Respect every project we touch. Be a team people can truly rely on. We believe workmanship is not just about how something looks, but how it protects, performs, and lasts.
Leadership That Truly Cares About The Work
Big Dog Exteriors was built by someone who has lived the trade. Mac has been a Red Seal carpenter since the age of twenty one, with deep experience across industrial, commercial, and structural iron work.
Today, he remains closely involved in every project. From bidding and planning to final caulking and paint touch ups, Mac takes responsibility for each stage of the build. Clients quickly notice his technical knowledge, responsiveness, and commitment to getting things done properly. As many put it, he is simply "on it."
For Mac, doing things right means clear communication, experienced crews, and enough manpower on site to complete every elevation efficiently without slowing down other trades. Skeleton crews are never part of the approach. Quality, pride in workmanship, and respect for everyone involved come first.
Born and raised in the Okanagan, Mac built Big Dog to strengthen the local construction community and protect a culture of brotherhood within the team. Clients often describe the company in one sentence: organized, hardworking, genuine, and easy to trust.
Long term, Mac is building Big Dog to become a trusted staple for new builds and renovations across the region while giving back to the place he calls home.

When Iron Heart Gym wanted to create a dedicated outdoor boxing area, our team saw an opportunity to support something bigger than construction. With limited boxing facilities in town, the goal was simple. Build a space that anyone could use year round, whether they were hitting a bag for the first time or preparing for the fight of their life.
Mac from Big Dog Exteriors volunteered his time and led the build from start to finish, helping turn an idea into a finished training space the community could rally around.
